The castle gives visitors the opportunity to see models and paintings of the sea boats as well as a 14.5-meter-long whale skeleton that was spent in 1998 on the shores of the Delic Peninsula, in Coche Adasi.
In the Ottoman period, the castle was used to protect the area from pirates, so it was called the “pirate castle”, the highest tower used for surveillance by guards. Now it is surrounded by many excellent cafes and restaurants.
