Iznik Lake: The fifth largest natural lake in Turkey and one of the tourist places in Bursa, it extends 32 km long, 10 km wide and 80 m deep. The town of Iznik , known for its historical name Nicaea, is located at the eastern end of the lake, and was the ancient Greek name of this lake Askania.

Activities you can do when visiting Iznik Lake

• The lake is a tourist center in itself where water sports such as swimming, its bright water and its deep-water line attract in the summer thousands of visitors from every region.

• See only rare bird species Iznik Lake declared a special natural bird sanctuary in 1989 for its unique and rare bird species.

• visit the historical and archaeological sites near the lake, dating from the Roman, Greek and Ottoman times, which are the most beautiful in Bursa.
